Police Protection
The Coast of Bays region has two police detachments and one Tribal Police Department located at Conne River. The Head Bay d'Espoir Police detachment is responsible for the Bay D'Espoir area and the Harbour Breton detachment is responsible for the Connaigre Peninsula along with the Fortune Bay North Shore area. The Conne River Tribal Police monitors their community while receiving assistance and support from either of the RCMP detachments whenever required.
