On Monday, November 23, a delegation from the Coast of Bays region traveled to the capital city to participate in a press conference at Confederation Building. The purpose of this press conference was to release a promotional package which will be used to promote the region as the ideal location to do business.

Participating in the press conference were the Hon. Beaton Tulk, Minister of the Department of Development and Rural Renewal, and the Hon. Oliver Langdon, Minister of the Department of Environment and Labour and MHA for Fortune Bay-Cape LaHune, Ms. Tracey Perry, Executive Director of the Coast of Bays Corporation and Churence Rogers of the Coast of Bays Board of Directors.

The release of this package is the culmination of two years of work by the Corporation staff, Board of Directors, a promotional package development team and the Connaigre Peninsula IAS Committee. The package is being strategically distributed to government agencies provincially, nationally and internationally. Additionally, plans are being made to participate in international trade missions to promote the region and a website, consistent with the layout and content of the promotional package, is online at http://www.coastofbays.nf.ca to capture an immediate international audience.
