Some of the organizations
and groups that she will meet with include Citizens Helping and Promoting
Seniors (CHAPS), Bay D’Espoir Association for Independent Living (BAIL), Human
Resources and Employment, Community Youth Network, seniors’ and youth
organizations. Other community
stakeholders will include community councils, town staff, educators, business
representatives and professionals.
An important task of the HR
Planner will be to develop a Human Resource Profile of the region. This profile
will outline existing skill sets in all sectors.
The human resource requirements of proposed economic development
activities would also be determined as well as identifying opportunities for
present and future employment. This
profile will be used as a tool by the Corporation when reviewing their Strategic
Economic Plan and determining economic and social development issues.
Required training will be
determined as a result of the Human Resources Profile.
Deborah will then meet with staff from training institutions to identify
relevant courses, which may be pursued by local individuals and organizations.
