The Coast of Bays Corporation welcomes Mr. Harold Murphy in the position of Aquaculture Development Officer. Harold will be working out of the Coast of Bays office located on the main highway in Harbour Breton.

Harold brings to the Corporation a diverse background of experience. He has an indepth knowledge of the fishery and aquaculture industries with up to date technical skills in aquaculture. He has extensive experience in creating and coordinating partnerships involving industry, government and community based groups and has a background in facilitating entrepreneurship. He has an exellent record of resource development leadership and project management success.

Harold has considerable experience with government and its role in economic development. He has held the position of Assistant Deputy Minister with the Newfoundland Department of Fisheries for twelve years and administered a wide range of fishery and aquaculture development programs. Harold also has extensive experience in program/project planning as well as implementing fishery research and development projects.

Harold will be a valuable resource to the region in ensuring that new exciting ventures in aquaculture get off the ground.
