The Coast of Bays Corporation will be the first point of contact for non-profit organizations in the Coast of Bays region. A concept paper identifying the proponent, outlining the idea, rationale, economic benefit and a general budget is first submitted to the REDB. The Corporation ensures the proposed project is consistent with the aims and objectives of the Strategic Economic Plan (SEP) before any further steps. Once satisfied that the project is complementary to the SEP, it is then passed to the next level for assessment by the FRAM-ED committee. On their approval, a project team is put in place to develop a comprehensive proposal. This project team will consist of representatives of agencies, government departments and local representatives affected by some part of the proposal development. As the proposal is developed, the team also evaluates the idea for sustainability and long-term job creation.
All private sector commercial projects in the Coast of Bays region must be submitted to the South Coast Community Development Corporation (Tel: 709-538-3846, Fax: 709-538-3439 or by e-mail at sccdc@cancom.net).
The Coast of Bays staff are available to assist with concept paper development.
