The Coast of Bays Corporation welcomes Mr. Sam Organ to the Corporation in the position of Economic Development Officer.

Sam is originally from St. Alban's and has resided in Burgeo with his family for the past sixteen years. While there, Sam has been an active participant in economic development with the Penguin Area Development Association, the Ramea Economic Recovery Committee and the Burgeo Diversification Development Board - an arm of the Long Range Regional Economic Development Board, Zone 9.

On the southwest coast, Sam has worked closely with many development initiatives including seaweed harvesting, soft shell clam harvesting and processing, tourism, groundfish harvesting and processing, peat moss, cranberry production, sheep and poultry farming, blueberry growing and processing and hydroponics.

In his new position, Sam will be working closely with individuals, the business community, towns and non-profit organizations to foster the economic potential of the Coast of Bays region.
