Tourism Coordinator (Coast of Bays).

| During the week of April 10 - 13, 2000, Ms. Shirley Dawe and Mr. Keith
MacDonald of the Policy and Planning department of ACOA were in the Coast of Bays to meet
with economic developers, businesses and municipal representatives. The purpose of
these meetings were to hear first hand the experiences of people in these sectors when
dealing with government policies and to learn about the various initiatives that are being
pursued in the region. They asked for suggestions about how policies could be better
formulated to encourage further economic development in the region. Their findings will be
used when developing agency program policy in the future. |
